really low-end HTT problem?

Just got me rig working again, and trying to break in this Hynix.

Have tried boosting all my voltages, set all my RAM timings to Auto, but I cant boot at 250x10. LDT multi is set to 3.

Still to try RAM dividers and higher multis, but this is really weird an annoying.

THe error is "disk boot failure" or similar  I have no idea why or how my HTT frequency is stopping my hard disks.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Try a different HD slot or a different HD (or just one HD) - I had this a while back, can't recall the solution 100%, but that might help?

i had this...

Right... set all discs to RAID ON - even those not in RAID or empty channels

boot, then if any no raid drives, reset, then unraid relevent drives

Cheers. I`ll go over my RAID settings. My RAID is on 2 and 4, so I should disable 1 and 3, and it should be ok??

Ahhhh yes -0 maybe a power down and full reset (no battery removal) with PSU switche don but no pwer chord connected.

Leave for a while and come back to it.

That might also help.

some more digging shows its RAM based. I tried 275x9 with a 166 divider, and its fine sooooo...i`ll be digging in me RAM settings later. Oh the joys.

M8 silly question but have you lowerd the Tref and idle cycle limit, as you might find it more stable at higher speeds

idle cycle is set to 0 and Tref is on auto. This is well weird. Gonna try swapping orientation and slots tomorrow. apparently same batch as my last lot...so should be flying??

Ok M8 try setting Tref to 200MHz @ 7.8us or lower as this does help with some ram, also try setting idle cycle to 16clks.

200 @ 3.2us is the most stable setting afaik.

Idle cycle to 16 clks as sacha said. Easiest bet is to upload an A64 tweaker screeny :)

Right...I aint been up for long, but apart from Trtw and Trc, which could be tighter, theres nothing there that I think should bother the RAM at 275MHz. MAL and RP adjust automatically pretty well if left, and would naturally come down in size as the RAM MHz increase.

I`ve swapped the RAM sticks over, will try that next, tho if that works, this`ll be the worst "matched" set of RAM i`ve ever had

nope. coz my RAM frequencies are all over the shop, and I dont know what his RAM can do yet, have left them to auto

EDIT: I`m convinced this RAM is dodgy. CPU is happy doing its thing, but RAM doesnt wanna go above 225 ishhh. Its PC4400 RAM, it should by Hynix. THIS MAKES NO SENSE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
