Reading your emails off 4 different OS(s).

Been toying with the thought of how to arrange the small things involved with have a quad booting OS system.

Being as I don't know of an email reader that will allow u to have a centralized email storage area on a partition that all the OS can access and use the same email tool to access stuff - is it practical to just keep your "delete emails from the server after fetching" to a good number of days, and just use whatever email client u like in each of the OS ?

Similarly, kinda, web-browsing - would it be possible to have a shared Favorites area and have the browsers on each OS to access the same thing ?

for the bookmarks you could use firefox and get the addon Xmarks, used to be called foxmarks, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410 petty good adon, uploads to a remote serv that you make a username and pass for, any machine you log onto and the FF on it has xmarks you just sign in and its syncs all the bookmarks, saved me so much time since ive started using it

I use Outlook on my dual xp pro 32 and win 7 64 [rc7100] setup.

I exported the personal folders .pst file to a partition/folder both o/s' can see/read, then used tools/options/mail setup/data files to point to that file and then set it as the default folder.

I'm looking into the favorites in ie8. There is a registry setting you can change but I haven't found out how to get it to stick on rebooting.

I've used this and it works for me now.

Create a folder called ‘OS Shared’ on your common partition and copy your current favorites into it from your profile on the C:\ drive for the OS that has your optimal favorites list.

Use ‘regedit’ and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Find the registry key called Favorites set to %userprofile%\favorites.

Point your registry key to the new location.

Yeah, goal was to be able to use something to ubuntu and osx too. Thing I'm settling on as an opinion is that it's better to keep a longer deletion period from ur isp server and use the regular email readers for each one.
