Razer Mamba or Logitech G700?

I can't decide between the Mamba and the G700. I want whichever one is good quality and will not randomly disconnect.

Why do you need a wireless one?

Wireless will never be anywhere near as good as wired for connectivity, responsiveness or quality.
Is there no way you can go wired?

I've been gaming with a G700 for about a year now and love it. I rotate between it, a DeathAdder and G9 to change things up but the G700 is superb. It takes a little to get used to because the sensor is up near the top as opposed to the mid position but it won't take long. As for wireless, you can run the G700 wired as well and there is NO difference between performance.

Another thing I don't like is Gazer's new Synapse driver software. Its cloud based and intended so you can save your settings or something. The thing I don't like about it is you have to create an account and log in to get to your settings. That I don't like but what I like even less is in the TOS agreement they have the right to data mine your personal info! They offer legacy drivers for older products so you don't have to use them but the newer products they have don't have legacy drivers and you have no choice but to use the Synapse software. I'm a long time fanboy of Razer gear but can no longer recommend their stuff to anybody as long as they're forcing this Synapse crap on people.

So yeah, G700. Its a better mouse and you don't have to create a data mining account to configure it.

I agree with most people here that a wired mouse is generally better, but if you really need wireless I'd recommend the Logitech. Razer is usually quite overpriced for what you get :p

I guess I could try a wired mouse. I was looking at the Corsair M60 but I don't know what wired mouse to get. I'm going to be using around 2000dpi. Any suggestions?

I love my M60 - one of the best purchases I've ever made in regards to peripherals. Fits my hand perfectly, but that's not to say that it shall do the same for you.

The Razer DeathAdder is my all time favorite mouse. Most comfortable mouse I've ever used and very near the most precise (2nd only to the G9). I know I just said I can't recommend Razer gear but they still have the standard legacy DeathAdder drivers on their website so you skip the data mining software.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'm going to go with the Vengeance. Hopefully it can last me a good couple of years

Please do not listen to this wireless lag crap, take it from someone who has owned a G700 that there isn't any lag what so ever and if there is is so small it's unnoticeable.
The actual response time is 2ms, the mouse also sends 1000 reports a second to and from the mouse, which is the same as a wired mouse.

One thing I will say though, if you have large hands the Mamba would be a better option. I have large hands and I found the G700 uncomfortable. Thats just me though, you might be fine with it but I thought i'd just mention it.

Agreed. The lag in wireless mice is vastly overstated these days. I'm sure its bad with those $20 wireless mice you see on Walmart shelves but a $100 high end piece like the G700 isn't going to have any unless it's faulty. Now when the battery gets low it gets a little jittery but then you can just plug it in, it becomes wired while its charging and you game on.
