Ray / SnW has been banned.

I feel I should explain the reason for his ban.

After the chaos in the Competition thread, his erratic behaviour over the last year or so, me personally defending him to Tom and subsequently being let down again and again by more bouts of erratic or explosive behaviour, I decided it was time to remove the negative presence from the Forum.

I apologise to everyone for not discussing it first but I felt that would only seem like gossiping in the long run.

I personally emailed Ray and explained my reasons, as did Tom. We were both polite and respectful but were met with personal attacks, attacks on our families and attacks directed at our late founder. Obviously this is unacceptable.

I don't wish for this thread to devolve into gossip or bitching, I just wish to inform the community.
 
Must of been something personal he doesn't want to share, a shame really as he seemed like a well informed contributor to OC3D :/

I have never understood what drives someone to personally attack someone at that kind of level. I guess im just too human!
 
I thought Ray was a nice guy, guess i was hugely mistaken. If that's mild abuse i really don't want to know what other messages you guys have received, those sorts of messages are just disgusting

Its best if people like this stay away from this forum!
 
Didn't expect this, although his recent behavior on the forums was terrible. Maybe his rigs blowing up pushed him over the edge, who knows.

We can't have people ruining the atmosphere here at OC3D so it is fair that he has been banned.

Yep he was pissed about his rigs,, but he did get a 570 sent to him as a gift though so he could still fold... Or was it a 560ti cant remember....
 
Sorry to see this happen. charlie, blah and I have been trying to help Ray through various situations for many years now all the way back to the FM days. He always has had a short fuse and done some erratic things when he goes off. Generally Ray is helpful and fun to have around unitl something sets him off then it can get ugly.

Charlie and Tom you have my total support in the decision you made, and once again I'm sorry you guys had to go through all of the unpleasantries.

I gave up after the last time when we were still at Redline forums. :/
 
Even though I knew this would happen eventually, it's sad to see him go. When his head was in the game his passion for folding couldn't be matched. Unfortunately, his emotions always get the best of him and he says/posts things that get him into trouble and create drama. I'll miss the good side of Ray for sure.

I'll be sure to look both ways a few times before crossing any streets tomorrow.

Well said steve, I feel the same way.
 
I have had numerous threats made toward me (20 emails and counting that make the one Tom posted look like a compliment..) and other users here since this happened, including trawling Google and finding pictures of both my ex and I and forwarding them on with threats attached therein.

I only hope that when he calms down he'll see that his conduct is the exact reason for the ban.

That is horribly pathetic. I'm totally disappointed and a little ashamed now. The amount of times I/we have had his back....Wow...
