Rapidshare?

After using torrents for a long time, I would like to know about rapidshare. I know using torrents means you are liable to get caught, although I also know that they are rarely prosecuting people now as they are looking to ISP's to stop the whole thing altogether.

Does anyone use Rapidshare? What are advantages/disadvantages?

Advantages, pretty much guarenteed to max out your download speeds, all the time.

Disadvantages, could be considered expensive, although I don't find it is.

Stick with the torrents. If you have a good private tracker you cannot go wrong. Nothing like a torrent to get that Linux distro.

Peer Guardian is a good piece of software if you are worried about unwanted attention.

peer guardian is a taboo subject just like hideip etc..

there are questions as to wether these versions of software actually work or make ur computer more vunrable to people wantin to track what your doing!

I dont download myself unless there is something i wanna try before i buy! but i think the torrent community is goin down hill the main people who use it these days really do abuse it(this can be seen in all the vile and negative comments people do use)! i would recommend rapidshare although i have never used it myself as i have heard a good few people say about how good it is

but before you say "but you never use it! so how can you recommend it ?" like i said i download much might go through 10gb in downloads a month, so that is why i dont use rapidshare.
