Rampage V PCIe's

Hi,

I'm just installing the Rampage V and I wondered if someone would help me clarify something.

I have 2 x 7970 in CF. Which are in Slots 1 (PCIe 3.0 x16_1) and Slot 4 (PCIe 3.0 x16/8_3) which is how the manual shows it to be done with a 40 lane chip.

I have a Asus Xonar Essence STX PCIe sound card. On my old board I had a x1 slot that was in the right place that I could use but it's not available to use on this board due to the back plate of the graphics cards.

My question is... if I was to put Asus Xonar in Slot 2 (PCIe 3.0 x8_2) will this effect performance of 7970s or disable anything else.
I've looked at the manual and "think" it's going to be ok... but wanted to be sure because I don't want to discover I made an error after it's all hosed up.

If you can plug the xonar in one of the black slots they are pcie2 and it wont make any difference to the GPU lanes

Cheers for replying pal. I can yer... It's just closer to the bottom card. But if it's not going to effect performance I will do that.
