My ram is rated for higher voltages that I need to oc any more than what I've gotten to. My board only goes up to whimpy 2.85V in bios. I'm gonna need some windows tool or something to get the voltage higher.

What you need is an 'OCZ DDR Booster'. It'll let you raise your vdimm up to something silly like 3.6v!!

I can't get past 2.8v :( don't these boosters have issues in some cases, though? I'm not sure exactly what, I guess crashes or something. Never really looked into it... if they work fine may you tell me where to get one, for to purchase...

It was surprising it didn't just break, really... now it whiles away its existance in calming retirement within a family PC, playing games at mediocre clockspeeds.

As far as i know, they work perfectly fine on 99% of motherboards.

they are good but i have a friend who built one bout a year back anf the highest it could go to was 5~6V look 4 a guide (hell i may get him to make us one , or he could tell me how he did it and i could make one+guide?)

That would be helpful cause I need around 3.1V, but it costs money, damn. I'll keep them in mind in the future if they go on sale. I'll probably have to end up raising my timings though. :( :micro:
