RAM Upgrade issues

Hi all,
I've been trying to upgrade my Z77A-G43 with a larger amount of RAM - I decided on HyperX FURY Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module Kit - Model ref HX318C10FBK2/16.

My CPU is a i5-3330 so I thought it would be ok - but when installed in any slot not even one stick will work.

My system powers up for a few seconds - then just stops and reboots.

I've reset the BIOS to defaults (BIOS version 2D0).

Any ideas ?

You have to manually set the RAM speed in BIOS as 1866 is considered an overclocked memory speed by that board.

If you can still get into the BIOS then setup XMP.
If when the new sticks are installed it won't let you get to BIOS and in any slot even with just one in it won't boot then it's probably faulty sticks. Should have the latest BIOS as it will provide the widest memory compatibility however.

Thanks for the replies so far
I'm on the latest bios which doesn't support XMP.
Will be trying to overclock today - will I need to nudge up the voltages as well?
