Ok this is odd, my new RAM only like to run fast it seems! With my divider set to 2:3 it cranks right up @ 542mhz, but if I try and drop my divider to a 1:1 so that I can get some more FSB out of it windows gives me the ntfs file missing error... And this is ony at 375. Why would it run @ 542 and not 375? Does this make any sense?

Running Corsair PC2-8500 w/ D9's.

....Why can't you just run it faster?

because with the 2:3 divider the fsb is really high as it is. someone at xs recomended that i crank the voltage way up on the chipset and that should help greatly, gonna give that a shot when i get home.

No exact idea, but just to chuck in the theory that u can get electronic stuff to run at a high temp for a long time.. then stop it for a bit.. try at a "cooler" period and it will fail. Get the item hotter again and start it and it`ll work again.

Happens to pcs that run 24/7/365, then u turn em off. Turn back on and they fail. But u leave them on in their failed mode for a while (build up the temps), use the reset button and they`ll magically work.

Well I finally got it sorted. Ended up being a horrible BIOS revision. I tried the newest BIOS and I thought it botched my board completely but I was finally able to get it to POST again, then I put on the second to latest BIOS and bam! I was able to get an extra 700mhz out of her :)

Thx for the suggestions.
