Ram question.

Hey guys I am just wondering if anybody could tell me if -DATA DDR2 PC6400 2048MB CL5 Kit w/two matched DDR2 800 1024MB CL5 ram is any good. I am thinking of ordering this ram.

I'd say no. PC6400/800mhz you should be getting 4-4-4-12 timings...

Is it just a no brand make? If you don't plan to overclock and it is really cheap then it might serve your purpose...

Did you mean A-data? They are pretty good in my opinion.

But as Mr Smith said, the timings should be tighter.

ly cheap and I dont intend in overclocking the ram. Its just for a basic machine I have right now. After christmas I will be building a gaming rig with 3 gig crucial ballistix ram in there. But as you think the ram is ok I shall get it for what I have right now. Thanks for the reply.

That ram is slightly dearer than the ADATA ram that I asked about http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=337883 and the postage to Ireland would also cost more. i have the A-DATA ram ordered already anyway.
