i wonted to know what are the limitations of on board raid

in particular raid 0

i was wondering can i use two different drives (brand - SAMSUNG AND HITACHI) of the same capacity AND RPM

You are better off using same brand and model, to match spin speeds etc. Unless you have a backup, you are doubling your chance of failure, if one of the drives dies you loose all the data. These days with the price point and speed of SSD's I wouldn't recommend anyone put mechanical discs in raid 0, unless they have a very specific requirement.
