RAID 0 Help.

Set up a raid0 on two of my f3 1TB hdds and it was perfect.

Had a problem with my rig My link which has been replaced and getting a new motherboard coming asap. It's the same brand motherboard Asus p8p67 Pro but a rev 3.1. That means It's not the same motherboard which I sent off. Would this affect the raid set up I had? Would I lose all my data on the hdds?

Do those boards have the same RAID controller? Enable the controller on the new board, it should read the config that is on your array and work from there. If the controllers are different though, it may not work.

I had an Asus P8P67 Deluxe which I sent back when I swapped it for a B3 model. I plugged everything in and to my amazement the raid0 and everything worked perfectly. Hopefully it'll work for you as well.

Only difference is the USB controller I think.

That sounds very promising! Fingers crossed then!

Switched from an asrock z68 extreme 4 gen3 plugged in sata3 with raid enabled in bios to asus r3e plugged in first two sata2,and the raid0 works just fine.

to be on the safe side you may wanna create a system image onto an external drive with windows backup & restore (assuming you're using win7).

should you need to restore the system (array gets lost, drivers won't work...whatever) you'll be able to load the mass storage controller drivers before starting system restore. that's also the case with network interface cards or USB 3 drivers (NEC chips for example). one rule though: target drive cannot be smaller than before.

Going to be installing a fresh copy of Windows on my SSD. I formated it to use on another pc untill this one got fixed. Would that be a problem?
