radiator advice

Hi everyone

Just looking for some advice on which radiator I should buy for my current project. This is my first ever attempt at water-cooling so really have no idea on what is the correct size radiator to buy and of course make and model. I have the HAFX case which I understand to support a 240mm radiator on top natively but its possible to get a 360mm up there so I am to understand. I only intend on cooling my CPU so what would be the best radiator choice for me?

any advice would be greatly appreaciated.

I would go for Phobya G changer 360 v1.2, well it's overkill for a cpu but if you get the watercooling bug it's a good investment as it will keep a gpu cool aswell

If you get a 120 or 240 rad you might regret and need to buy another rad once watercooling GPU aswell.

I have Haf 932 and it supports 360 rad, I would be wery suprised if the bigger HAF X does not support 360rad in top.

good thing about water is that it cools alot better compared to air and at a lower fan speed(noise).

Yes HAF X support 360 rad at the top.

And you should go for 360 rad if you can cuz even if its only for cpu so far, you can always change your mind one day and water cool your gpu, also having 360 rad for cpu only means that you can have your fans at the low speed and keep everything nice and quiet.

Consider the EK HF 360 kit for what you need....comps and a good block with a half decent rad.

A 360 will give you head room for hot days and future expansion of the loop.

If you are making a custom loop, you need to decide on silence or performance. SR,XSPC,Thermochill etc are working the quieter end of the spectrum while the mighty GTX,Koolarse etc are high FPI rads requiring high fan speeds/more static pressure.
