Radeon 7850 screen fickering?

Hello, i"m getting a sapphire dual X 2gb radeon 7850 these days, don"t ask why , my problem is, i use 2 dell screens, a u2311h and u2412m. When i had the 6950 problem was that she was switching between 2D and 3D clocks all the time and the screen bas blinking, known as the fickering problem. Will this 7850 have that problem solved? Guy told me it has only a one dvi port and that he ran one monitor of dvi and TV of a HDMI. I"ll buy a HDMI to DVI converter and run both screens of DVI. The question is will i have the fickering problem? Is anyone here runnning 2/3 screensof a hd7000 card?

Are AMD driver good these days? Stability is very important to me,my rig runs 24/7.

I have an XFX R7770 in my AMD rig if that is any help?

I ran 2 screens off it without issue on the latest 12.11 drivers.

Games work perfect, drivers work perfect.


The issue may be your 6950, but what PSU are you using?

I had a screen flickering issue when I ran a powerful GPU through a VGA cable.

You can get it with multiple screens. Update the drivers and the card bios and it should fix it.

You shouldn't get any flickering, the only side affect of 2 monitors on GCN is that you will have elevated idle clocks / temperatures

Ok great then, guy that is selling it to me told me that he ran two and there where no problems. Btw when my monitor goes to sleep card basicly turnes off and stops spinning fans? So it shouldn"t be eating dust over night?
