iv removed the hdd and currently updating the last drivers for the mobo atm any ideas what is going on? (im thinking its graphics related due to my pretty new wallpaper iv gotten but any idea if its hardware or driver based?)

specs

gd65 gaming
4770 cpu
16gb vengeance ram
290 direct oc 2

Doesn't look good :\

Looks like RMA time if drivers don't fix it. One thing you can try is completely disabling the IGP on your CPU in the BIOS settings. I've seen a few threads where people were having problems with their 290 and completely disabling onboard graphics fixed it.

Looks like your card is broken though, from threads i've seen in the past with peoples screen going like yours is, it's been a result of faulty RAM on the GPU.

WHHHOP ok good news i gave it one more go last night before i gave up on it so put the card back in, uninstalled the drivers got my old dvd drive out of my old build installed the drives off the disc (rather than downloading them) and touch wood 5 hours and no blue screens no crazy magic eye screens.

so i guess either i installed it wrong or some who installed the wrong asus r9 290 drivers?
