Just wondering if you could say which gas is better, or what the advantages of R507 vs R402a are?

Cheers :)

There are very simular gasses R402a boils at -49.someat and R507 boils at -46.someat with r402a you need to add a desuperheat coil to remove some of the heat before it goes into the condenser with r507 you don't

R402a runs a little higher in pressure but you can back the charge off slightly as R402a has good heat carrying capacity.

In the end I think it is down to the individual if you neeeed the extra few degrees go 402a if you dont r507 in the world or overclocking I don't see your results would improve majorly between the two

I think Fatty's nailed that one pretty much spot on.

402a is slightly colder and a little more capacity, but your best case is normally 3-4c colder depending on how you tune it.

402a means more work on the mod, and with the slightly higher pressure you'll be pushing your compressor a touch more, but if the extra cold is worth it, it's not that much more.

So really, it's up to the guy who want's it done. Both are very cold, and both are good upgrades :)
