R5 1600, R7 1700 or i7 7700k

Hi guys!

I need to collect some opinions about what plataform should I buy.
Essentially the computer I need is for games at 1080p with 144hz monitor and streaming.
I need it now because I sold my tower. :P
I still have a gtx msi 1080, disks and peripherals.
I am in doubt on the following CPU and MOBO configurations.

AMD
R5 1600
MSI B350 Krait Gaming (they say it's the one of the best b350 for oc)
Gskill ripjaws V 2800 cl15
(R5 1600 lets me save some money on the processor and invest it in a better mobo, better box and better source)

R7 1700
MSI b350 gaming pro (which essentially equals the b350 tomahawk with a different colorscheme)
Gskill ripjaws V 2800 cl15

INTEL
I7 7700k
Msi z170A PC MATE
Gskill ripjaws V 2800 cl15

Doubts and concerns:
Doubt - r5 1600 vs i7 1700 will the difference in streaming be so great, great enough to justify the investment, since for gaming they are equal expecially when overclocked?
Concern - i7 7700k and platform - For the processor, I know it is the best processor for gaming, however I love to overclock but I do not feel comfortable in deliding a NEW 350€ processor.
As for the motherboard, it's a z170 but "nhec" if it reaches 4.8ghz it would be a luck ...
As for the INTEL platform in general, it is an "end-of-life" platform that will not allow future upgrades.
As for the AMD platform, it's a new platform that will last for a few years, which will certainly allow me to upgrade, if I can, at least one time the CPU.

I can't really decide... Need your help... The prices on the plataforms I've shown are equal in Portugal :D

TBH 1600 all the way you'll be able to game and stream no problem and if you go Ryzen the platform will be around longer than Intel which means it will be easier to upgrade the CPU later on

If your streaming app uses more cores then the 1700 would be the better bet. When AMD disabled the controller for the extra two cores the CPU did not achieve the same IPC. Maybe because of less cache? I don't know. What I do know is that per thread the 1700 is faster.

As to whether it's worth it? maths I guess. It will be two extra cores with two extra threads. So 20%+ faster when running on all cores.

You also need to think about multi threading at an OS level. So multi tasking, basically. If you are streaming and want anything else running at the same time that will work the CPU harder and obviously in that regard the extra cores will help you out also.

Pretty much all Intel sockets are dead sockets within a few months. Intel release an initial CPU on them, then usually release one more tech on that platform before switching again. I would say Kaby will be the last on X70 chipsets. From what I have heard the forthcoming technologies will come on a new chipset/socket.

Even if you picked Intel for the short term it would not make much sense later. So we know that Kaby is faster/clocks higher and thus in up to 4c8t does better than Ryzen. However, what happens if software devs decide to start adding higher threads? you can'tr just drop a hex core CPU in the rig and be happy. You will need to start again, and Intel's second hand prices plummet once they are outdated.

There's a Strix B350 board coming soon. I would wait and see how that is (as am I).

Get the 1700. The 1600 is a budget cpu in terms of streaming. You'll definitely want more cores if you are serious about streaming.

Ryzen chip and use x264 video encoder together for best streaming results. They tested with the RYZEN 7 1800X though.

At least this is what a recent bench test by a well known Youtube techy has concluded.
I can give link in a PM if you want it.

So after reading all of this, which one would you people recommend for an all round type PC? With some gaming at 1440p etc?... The 1700 or 1700x?.

With the Biostar mITX board.

In the tests i have seen, if you overclock the difference is close to non. And even close to the 1800X. So i see the 1700 non-x as the best buy.
