R326.01 WHQL Windows 8.1 SLI surround crashing

Hello, I have been running 8.1 with SLI Geforce GTX 680 in SLI for about a month. everything works very well with SLI on or off, all games run great. however when I try playing any game in surround SLI the game Immediately freezes.

I have tested both cards individually, both can run all games (Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Civ V) in triple screen surround 5760x1080 highest settings. In both of the PCIe slots on my MOBO.

All three games will start and run perfectly fine in surround as long as the resolution only includes a single screen. as soon as I start a game running at 5760x1080, or change the resolution from single screen to multi screen the video freezes. I can still see my mouse moving and hear the sound but the video freezes permanently (I've let it run overnight (8-10 hours-ish) and it did not change or crash to the desktop) It has required a hard reboot every time it happens.

This happened only after updating to the 326.01 Drivers on windows 8.1 preview. Specs below.

I understand this may very well be a bug with the new drivers however I have read forums of people who have SLI surround working and want to make sure I am not just doing something wrong.
