Both look like nice builds and far be it from me to sound like i know more than anyone as i doubt i do! but i think imgur hosts pictures better and lets you album and link directly to them.

The 550D does look nice i was tempted by one myself !

How was it to build ?

Also where did you come upon this ?

I was originally going to get a 650d but came across a 550d vid on youtube when browsing the other day. It looked awesome, inside and out, has decent enough sound proofing and was a good price on scan. I liked my old haf 922 but it was noisy and a pain to clean out with all the dust it sucked in. Build quality overall is great, alot of space and easy to work with.

The only small isssues I have is the side panel that covers the fan mounts is really difficult to get off, you have to push the button down pretty hard. also the front panel takes some force to open and I already broke the clip at the bottom right but luckily corsair provide 4 spare ones so I could just replace it. Happy with my purchase though.

Nice work on both builds mate

I have a Dark Rock advanced and i love how it looks and it keeps my 24/7 4.3ghz overclock just below 60 under load which seems fine to me. Only thing i hated.. installing the bugger!! how did you find it mate?

both are nice clean builds. that fact you have a GF who plays PC games is awesome. congrats mate.

nice rigs thank you for sharing the builds, both look clean and well laid out, sometimes the research is as good as getting down and dirty with the build.

Nice rigs. How do you find the dark rock advanced?
Love it, looks good and is really quiet... even under load

was a pain in the ass to install lol, cut my knuckles to pieces trying to get the 4pin mobo connector in after installing the cooler.. should have done things the other way round

Made a few small changes and wanted to post my main setup. thought I would just do it here instead of making a new topic.

Changed my Benq G2420HDBL to Dell 2412m... love it, colours are so much better and I realise how much better x1200 is over x1080.

Also changed my old mouse and keyboard to a Steelseries Sensei and a Corsair k90. love the mouse and how much I can customise for everything I do.

Had to change my cooling in the 550d, stock fans although quiet don't bring enough air in through the front intake and my 580 lightning dumps a lot of hot air into the case.

Changed the stock h80 fans for NF-F12's, put two SP120's in the front and an AF140 as a bottom intake. The AF140 is the noisiest fan running in my case even with the low noise adapter.

Added A 120gb Mushkin SSD and I thought they were all just over hyped... not really worth it for such small sizes but I couldn't live without it anymore... I would prob cry if I had to use a comp without one lol.
