So I'm around half way through sleeving my 24Pin connector on my 1300w Coolermaster (which by the way, if you're sleeving a PSU, I'd avoid in all honesty the PCI-Ex cables are a total **** to get looking half decent), and I've already come across 1 wire which had a main wire of the usual gauge, and a secondary lower gauge one... Is this second wire really necessary ?
I've googled it a bit (before anyone lmgtfy's me) and people seem to think it's a 'Voltage sense' wire ?? Surely the main wire is a connection what on earth(get it?) is the smaller one needed for?
I've noticed there is a second one on another pin so before I get onto 'part 2' per-se I thought I'd ask the experts, that is you lot
So step up
There's also 2 wires twisted together, a grey and a black one.. I hear that's just a 'noise' removing exercise, is this really necessary either?
Ta muchly for your time.
