Quick News

Windows 11 strikes again, Latest security update KB5074109 lowers game performance for Nvidia users -

"Gaming Performance Drops: Numerous users, particularly those with NVIDIA graphics cards, have reported a significant drop in gaming performance, with frame rates decreasing by approximately 20 FPS after installation."

With memory being very expensive Phoronix ran over 300 benchmarks ddr5 4800 vs 6000. Only 1% difference averaged out. Confirming what AMD said about speeds with the new 9850x3d. It is very load type dependent. Ironically the AI tests showed next to no difference. Lol.

Makes sense. The whole point of X3D is to increase the L3 cache hit rate and make memory matter less. If a game really likes X3D, it will not rely on DRAM very. The impact should be very game-dependent. Will be fascinating to look at this later.

Possible Blackwell Titan or 5090 Ti card incoming, Likely an RTX Pro 6000 with half the memory.
