Quick News

OC3D featured on NCIX for 5 seconds ^_^

Awesome how OC3D has gone from totally unknown to the tech community to slightly known, Which is good progress considering the tech community is MAHOOSIVE and OC3D compared to every other publication is probably the smallest in terms of staff :)

Yeah, I see OC3D articles on other shows now and again. It seems like OC3D is becoming one of the more trusted sites for tech reviews - at least better than WCCF Tech ;)

And so it should with the quality of reviews that Tom and others do, and given the amount of knowledge there is between everyone on here this site could grow to eventually be like PCPer and others although it will take abit of time.

Yep, I kind of see OC3D as a slightly more casual, less professional version of PCPer (not in a bad way) ;)

Its got alot of potential, but probably wont become Linus size because of the long extensive articles that we love, but most people dont have the attention span to go through.

I can tell you that I actually used to go to Linus etc for all my information, but ever since I came across this site and the when all of the news starting coming in reguarly... I now only go here for all of my tech related news :)

Good choice. I recently joined the LTT forums, and while they can be fun, they are just not as helpful as OC3D ;)

Yeah, I agree mate... I tried joining it, but for some reason, I was quite put off with everything. The community didn't quite go out their way in the same way they do here and not being as helpful as the people on here in my opinion.

So if you ask me, OC3D all day and any day in my opinion :) ... Good work WYP and AverageNinja! :)

I think our first News article gave us more credibility than WCCF tech.. have you even seen their GPU author? That news guy for GPU's is a "Long time PC gaming enthusiast"... lol so that makes him qualified to talk about.. anything? Only thing he could say is the history of games:p
At least our head News man has a degree! Sure it may not be PC related but it's sure as hell better than a PC gaming Enthusiast. That's literally anyone interested in this kinda tech... Now I understand we have some guys who aren't qualified with any kind of degrees but at least Ninja is studying Journalism iirc. That alone is huge credibility.

So what you're saying is anyone with any old degree is better than someone who is just a tech enthusiast ? I'd heavily disagree there.

This means as my cousin who has an art degree would make a much better writer than just a tech enthusiast purely because she has a degree even though it's totally unrelated to the task at hand ^_^

But yeah that guy on WCCF comes out with some moronic stuff at times, Especially about the imminent 980 Ti "Finally brings competitive performance to GeForce" shortly after the "Finally" was edited out though XD

No I'm not saying that. I'm saying in comparison to their guy it is better. Anyone on this forum could qualify for being a PC Enthusiast. It's basically all of us reporting on stuff. None of us really could make a claim we are reliable, whereas WYP has made a name for himself and become more or less respected as small time news guy on OC3D and to such an extent is now officially working for OC3D and holds the position of New Guru, he has something to fall back on for ethos and become a reliable source. The other guy is just some dude they found.. it's like me reporting.. no one would listen to me lol

But that guy has worked for WCCF for quite some time to my understanding and we don't know what qualifications he has, He could have a bachelors degree in computer science for all we know ^_^

Starting my Journalism course in September (if I graduate high school of course, I'll hear June 11) ;)

I like to think I actually got accepted because I write at OC3D.
The person who interviewed me asked if I had (writing) experience. I proudly threw some of my articles on the table.

I was supposed to hear if I was accepted or not in a month or two, the woman who interviewed me immediately accepted me after the interview.

Anyway, we should probably get back on topic indeed ;) Thanks for all the positive feedback and kind words everyone, it feels great you guys enjoy reading our articles :)

ASUS Showcases the Latest Innovations at Computex 2015

http://press.asus.com/PressReleases/p/ASUS-Showcases-the-Latest-Innovations-at-Computex-2015

Taipei, Taiwan (2nd June, 2015) — ASUS today announced a Zen-inspired product lineup designed to provide users with the ultimate digital life. Members of the press got a close-up look at these innovative products at the ASUS Zensation press conference demo area.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduced a range of gaming notebooks, desktops, monitors, a mouse, a graphics card, and ROG Certified products. The ASUS ZenBook UX305 and UX303 in their striking new colors, along with ASUS Transformer Book T100HA, were on display. Several ASUS desktop PCs were on show, including the ASUSPRO E210, the K20, a VivoPC VC65, VivoMini UN65H and UN45, and Chromebox UN62. The demo zone featured the ASUS E1Z, the world’s first palm-sized LED projector that can project content stored on an Android™ phone via a micro USB connection.

My top 3 are:

ASUS ROG

ROG 34-inch Curved G-SYNC Monitor

This 34-inch 3800R curved display features wide-viewing angles, a 3440 x 1440 native resolution, and 21:9 aspect ratio. It features NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ display technology to deliver smooth, lag-free visuals. G-SYNC synchronizes the display’s refresh rate to the GPU in any GeForce® GTX™-powered PC to eliminate screen tearing and minimizing display stutter and input lag. This results in sharper, more vibrant images; and more fluid and responsive gameplay. It has extensive connectivity options that include DisplayPort and HDMI.

ROG SWIFT PG279Q

ROG SWIFT PG279Q is a 27-inch WQHD 2560x1440 display with IPS technology for wide 178 degree viewing angles. It has an ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rate and features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for smooth, lag-free visuals. ROG SWIFT has extensive connectivity options that include DisplayPort and HDMI.

ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Ti

ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Ti incorporates the DirectCU H2O hybrid cooling solution with a combined vapor chamber and water channels to give users cooler temperatures along with improved noise reduction for 3x quieter performance. ASUS graphics cards are produced via exclusive Auto-Extreme technology, an industry-first 100% automated process, and feature aerospace-grade Super Alloy Power II components for unsurpassed quality and reliability. ROG Poseidon GTX 980Ti also features GPU Tweak II with XSplit Gamecaster for intuitive performance tweaks and gameplay streaming.

Also interesting...

ROG Certified Products

The ROG Certified program serves to give gamers the added assurance that their preferred gaming gear and components like memory modules, cooling kits, cases and others work perfectly with ROG products. ROG Certified products undergo extensive testing and validation by ROG engineers, with only the very best making the grade. The ROG team is currently working with leading component manufacturers like Avexir, BitFenix®, Bitspower®, Corsair®, G.Skill, HyperX®, In Win, Lian-Li and Thermalright, with more partnerships in the pipeline. The ROG Certified logo will be placed on all certified products that will be available for purchase on the ROG partners’ own distribution channels.

As well as a whole host of desktop and laptop pc's....

Asus X In Win case

Just when you thought a product designed by inwin could get any weirder, they teamed up with asus to make a case.

They apparently intend to mass produce it. I'd guess it'll be a new ROG rig? Personally I think its hilarious and I'm very happy to see Asus working with a company that tends to make very expensive unique cases.
