Question with memory overclock

Just home on lunch and have it PI 32m stable at 920mhz but its on really really loose timings set to auto at 5-6-6-31-2T

I'll have a go at fixing them later tonight.. For now though gonna leave it to bench.

5-5-5-15 is pretty acceptable to aim for

Ok i've now tightened the timings until they squeek... I tried for all the 5s on 1T but the BIOS froze instantly so went for all the 4s on 2T but just got blue screen as windows loaded so just dropped the RAS down to 5 and all fine and dandy.

Screeny shows Orthos at about 10 mins so no instant errors. Also ran Pi32m no problem.

Just benched and the difference in score using 3DMark06 isn't much really. It did go up a little bit but not anything worth shouting about.

Scratch that... Now i'm finished.

Got the cylcles down from 15 to 12.

Is there any way that lowering timings can actually make things work worse? I know obviously if it isn't stable but if its all stable can it work worse?
