Question about fan locations.

Alright, so i have a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro in my case right now, it's an NZXT Hades case, but i was wondering if having two exhaust fans right above the cooler could cause any form of problems regarding air flow? ie pulling air away from the cooler reducing it's efficiency. I ask as i've just bought two fans to fill the top two fan mounts on the case as having an empty slot seems to be filling the case with dust (i have no filters) and i wanted two matching fans. so could running both of them as exhaust at <2000rpm cause any problems?

I don't see this being a problem, increasing airflow should simply aid drawing colder air in/hotter air out. The worst case scenario is having not enough airflow and re-circulating stagnant hot air.

There's only one way to test it though! Fit them and try them - i'd suggest using prime95 and furmark at the same time running for about 20 mins and see if the fans make any difference. Dugdiamonds monitor can get your temps if you haven't got one already.

Personally I try and stay away from exhaust fans where ever I can. Fans which pull are much less efficient - I think it's better to have good inflow and just let the positive pressure exhaust the air where it chooses. That keeps down the noise but it's up to you and as I say - give it a try.

Positive pressure will also solve your dust issue - if you were to buy/make some dust filters at the intakes the positive pressure will keep the dust out because it will be exhausting everywhere else.
