Microsoft is publishing it, so they get to choose where to sell it. It is a simple choice for them really, more money for their parent company.

Now this is interesting, i kinda thought this would be the case, but i dont want to add another platform to my list, Steam Origin Uplay GOG, dont want another one.

Yeah but the Windows Store is already integrated as part of Windows10 so I'd hope it's relatively painless, either way you may have to activate it with the store like how a some Steam disk copies do (CoD, etc).

Oops, fixed now. I have been copying and pasting from MS word for the past week as I have had electric issues at home. Must have pasted that over twice.

TBH it makes sense for Microsoft to do this, but I really hope that the MS version of the game is good. Say what you like about steam but it updates and downloads quickly and works, though having not used MS they could actually be better than Steam.

Yeah it could be but doubtful. At the very least it better be secure locally and server side. That's the main caveat for me really

Well hopefully its not the same as Rise of the tomb raider via windows store which does not support SLI or Crossfire, and also does not allow external sources like Fraps, afterburner or precision X etc.

This could be a bad thing for Microsoft. I can't really see how it is going to help them. Why can't they follow suit like Rockstar with their successful GTAV. They provide this via their own store and steam. And even today, its still in the top 10 week after week on steam sales.
