LOL thanks. Yeah they had a preview of this on Tom's hardware about 6months ago but I noticed it again recently on techpowerup and was surprised that they were going ahead with it. I was also surprised they went for an intel board seeing as the nf4 intel chipset is not so good. I don't know how good benches will be on it as drivers must be a nightmare and intel cpus can't really pull their weight. Still, we'll have to wait and see. Wouldn't it be good if asus' new dual 7800gtx cards were SLi compatible. With this board you could run 8 7800GTX cores.
I totally agree with gollum, the Asus/Gigabyte dual 7800GTX cards in SLI seem to be a slighty more sane idea, it also generates the need to use the newer Nforce x16 chipset, which up until now had no real benefit over what we have now.
All this talk of 3d scores, first off, imagine the price of the damn board itself!!!! Thats gonna be pushing £200 i recon if it ever hits the market. Then 4x7800GTX, thats gonna be some SERIOUS money and power, WOW!!
Go on mav, get it with all 4 GTX's, u know u wanna
