Hello,

I have £200 to spend and I am thinking of upgrading my PC now, I can get a Q9550 for £170 which leaves me some money for another cooler, but should I save up and buy and i7, Motherboard and Ram or will Q9550 do similar sort of thing?

i7 is the way to go if you have the money. i7's are definitely a lot faster

Yeah I would agree, Im also in the process of saving up for a new i7 setup, its hard not to want to spend your saved up cash but you should because its worth it.

Ok then guys, thanks for the advice :)

Will save up then, btw does anyone know a rough estimate in difference of price between an i9 when it is realeased and an i7 because I might consider an i9 lol

i think they will be quite expensive as all intel CPU's are when they first come out but u got a bit of a wait so u got time to save

The (first) intel hexacore will go by the name i7-980X and will probably cost you several hundreds of dollars. The introduction price will be $999 so yeh

i9 doesnt exist the 6 core cpu's will still be named i7.

Oh I thought they were going to be the i9's lol

Ok then, hopefully they might come down a bit by the time when I get one lol
