I am having trouble overclocking my Q6600
Runs fine at 2.4GHz but will not even boot at 2.5GHz
Current specs
Q6600 @2.4
6GB DDR3 ram 1333MHz 9-9-9-24 (2x1GB and 2x2GB modules) 1.5v
GTX560
Gigabyte GA-P35T-DQ6 motherboard
I managed a stable overclock in the past at 3GHz and just want to reach this again. Since then I have added 4 more gigs of ram that have lower timings voltage and a new GPU but I was having this issue before I added it. Old Ram had timings of 7-7-7-21 and 1.8v but was also 1333MHZ I am assuming its this change that is leading to problems.
I have tried different multipliers with higher FSB speeds but have the same problem all the tutorials I have seen don't seem to suggest anything. I have left my Vcore alone as when I previously overclocked it was running fine at 3Gz with no changes.
I'm pretty certain this is not normal so any help would be appreciated and I will be happy to supply additional details if needed
