pwm ic temps on ultra-d

Raging

just wondering what is the safe limits for this temp?

iirc its the capacitors?

because it went upto 50c today so i turned ma cpu fan on higher to get it back down and am just curious now,50c does seem a lil hot...

case ambeint temps about 28-29c in this hot weather:(

cheers.

i tried to keep mine below 45C tbh. Just put a 120 mm fan around it and you will be fine. Hot pwm ic temps dont affect performance , but it does affect ur voltage regulation , so if you are at the extreme edge of stability , its better to keep them cool than have ur comp crash because of a voltage ripple ( dfi nf4 series are notorious for that btw )

ah sweet nothing to worry about :)

this weather is so hot ime bloody sweatin and all ime doin is sitting here:rollingla

i cant wait for winter:p

cheers.

Mine used to get bioling hot, in the 60's, before I put my RAM/FET cooling bracket over them and I saw an increase in stability when overclocked to the max. I'd say keep it below 50 and you're playing it safe.

'bout time you got some AC in your room.......;)

But I know from my travels over there, there's not much in the way of AC there and normally not much of a need.

Mine did the other day. Temperature in my flat was 38*C

PWMIC was 76
Jesus Christ! I wouldn't have thought in a pink fit that it'd get that warm there on any given day. Although you lads and the rest of Europe are caught in the middle of a heatwave atm, yeah?

not over here and im not far from uk.

21.9c outside and the time is 18:05

can say my sister is glad she's over here now and not home in birmingham

yep this heatwave is nuts, and the pwmic temps only hittin about 52c max while gaming which aint too bad, currently running with the side of my case off for some extra air flow during this major heat:)

thx for your replies:D

cheer.
