PWM Fan Controler

Does anyone make a fan controller for using PWM fans that uses the fan speed signal wire instead of just power?

I want to use something like this

to hook up PWM SP 120's. Using that wiring setup, it pulls the fan power straight from the power supply. That would let me hook 15 fans to a 5 fan controller in theory. And I don't have unsightly wires going to my fan headers on my mobo.

I looked at that, but I really don't want a USB interface. I had enough of the Corsair Link to turn me off that.

Some of the Skythe have 4 pin input. But if you want a cable like you mentioned Akasa do one to control 5 fans.

The Aquacomputer Aquaero is light years ahead of the Corsair stuff. I currently use the last version (5) to control my fans and pump and it's almost flawless. The software has recently had a bit of an update to interface with other programs such as Open Hardware Monitor, HWiNFO and Aida 64.

I bought the Lt a few weeks ago, but I can not get the motherboard to reconise it. I had an hour or so to a frow, with an aquacomutor forum member trying to get it working but had no luck. It's all boxed up to RMA in the AM.

Shame Paul, sounds like you were a victim of the bathtub curve. Hopefully your replacement works fine.

The more I look at it, I think the only way I will be reasonably happy is to go ahead and invest in the Aquaero 6 and be done with it. I just hope it looks good in the front of a 900D with the black face plate.

I guess I will put plans on picking up the AX1500i a little while and at the end of this week order the Aquaero with all the bells and whistles. I hope Frozen CPU gets the XT back in stock this week.

Bathtub curve - it's the plot of the graph of a component's rate of failures vs their lifespan. The failure rate is higher either at the begining of their life or at the end, hence the graph looks like a bathtub.

Shame you've ditched the Aquaero but if you don't need a level of control you'll be fine with the fixed 5v.
