PSU mesh modding?

Hello OC3D,

Since I have a spare power supply (CX 600 Watts V2), I might want to mod it a bit, or a lot.
I once saw a power supply, where the main PSU-case was made in alu mesh (Looked awesome!). So I was wondering if it's "easy" to make, or could I easily damage the power supply?

What I'm thinking are a psu-case made out of a mesh, and put some LED's inside it! Might even paracord the cables..

How bad does the idea sounds?

Might post some google sketchup pictures of the idea!

I can get the mesh kinda cheap, aprox 30bucks for 120cm x 30xm, which might be enough.
Then what items should I use bending the mesh? I'm thinking two blocks of tree and the mesh in the middle. BOOM bent!

What about the airflow? Should I block the sides of the psu so I keep the airflow?

It wont make much of a difference, it just depends what sort of look that you want.
