Good evening,
After watching your video about fitting the right PSU and how much power your rig will 'actually' draw, I've decided to post my queries on here.
Initially I thought of getting a 650-700 Watt PSU but different people keep recommending different sizes, anything from 500 to 1500 Watts! Which is getting me quite confused. I've calculated that my system might draw between 250-600 watts but this is a rough scramble or information from the manufactures' specs and tests. I've read that PSU's run better and longer at 40-60% load?
My specs:
CPU- i7 4790
GPU- MSI Gaming GTX 970 Twin Frozr
HDD- 2TB Western Digital Black
CPU cooler- Corsair h80i
Mobo- ASUS z97 Pro Gamer
RAM- 16GB (8GB*2) 1.5V yet to order this yet
Will be getting a 120GB SSD or M.2 SSD.
My case, Zalman H1, has five fans in total; four 120mm (one LED) and one 200mm.
Optical drive and an external 1TB hard drive.
I would really appreciate any advice you have for me!!
Thankyou!
