PS4 Still Likely To Have Physical Drive

Good, broadband sucks in the US. Having to download all content would be a miserable failure IMO. I buy some games on steam now, but I still like to have a box for those must have games.

Gigabit LAN and Internet are two different things. You can get broadband easy enough in populated areas, but in rural areas it can be tough. Also, we have little choice when it comes to provider so prices usually suck. In most areas a single cable company or phone company will have a local monopoly over broadband. In my area I have two choices, Charter Cable or AT&T DSL.

Yeah, we're far from gigabit broadband speeds. The fastest I can get from my ISP is 20Mb, but it costs around $100/month. Right now I have 8/1 service for $30 a month, damn good deal. The fastest service that AT&T DSL offers is 6 Mb. RoadRunner is very similar to Charter. The best service I have heard of is Verizon FiOS. They offer up to 50Mb service. They have a very limited service area though.

I personally thing that consoles should move back to cartridge format

But obviously very small flash-based cartridges. Super quick access times and no chance of your favorite game disc getting scratched

Some of my modern day arcade system are cartridge based jimbo so why cannot consoles.

certainly make copying a game harder i think.

It comes down to cost. Cartridge games are much more expensive to manufacture than a disc.

Kempz,i have the same issue fella

and if the PS4 had SSD' for e.g imagine the price lol it would be to expensive

HDD in consoles is still the best

No doubt, tho with the money they might save from people not simply being able to download+burn games to discs it may well even it up a bit

I thought cartridges would've been easier to rip+upload.

The cartridge based systems in games are not that easy and to be honest like the old days the only ppl to be able to play them were ppl with the magic doctor hardware ect ect for the snes and mega drive. You didn't see them being profoundly copied in comparison to now a days.

Mind you the systems they use top protect the games now a days is a bit hack handed and its about time they started using there brains to figure out ways of stopping ppl from copying the games.
