After playing Gears of War every game is lacking at the moment.

This is playing on my mates fantastic Samsung 40" 1080p HDTV

Like I said we'll have to wait and see what else comes out which I have no doubt will get better and better

Price tag is bit high and not enough games yet so I am just waiting a bit more before I decide to get one!

Indeed, but tbh I have no need to HDMI right now so I spose it doesn't bother me. VGA @ 1920 x 1050 looks pretty nice

TBH i think the cotrolers staying the same is nothing but good. They got it spot on with the Orgianl PS Dual Shock conrolers. And if it ant broke dont fix it.

The price just needs to go down.

I'll partly agree to that, I love the ps2 controller for games like GTA etc, but it's awful for FPS games. The fact that it doesn't vibrate and isn't as heavy is a shame, as both of those helped make the ps2 controller almost perfect.

me off. You can't compare Gears of War to Resistance. Those are generation 1 games of the PS3, compare something when the 360 just came out and the PS3's lineup. Gosh, thats how you have to compare.

I agree with the fact that they are first gen games yes.

I also have to say that Sony have had YEARS to develop the damn thing. In my opinion they've had a year of the Xbox 360 being out to provide us with decent games but instead they haven't been up to much at all. Like I said the PS3 has potential but it's not much of an excuse after over a years delay from the 360 launch.

There's no way I'll pay £425 (+ games + controllers + HDMI connector) for potential right now

I have played both the 360 and the PS3 and feel that the 360 is a better machine overall.

The 360 is capable of at least if not better graphics then the PS3, it has an easier to manage architecture, and a better, although somewhat still lacking controller. Also the 360 has the price advantage and a larger selection of games.

The biggest problem I have with the 360, PS3 and Wii, is the overzealous use of reflections. In an FPS the floor of a bombed out building shouldn't be shiny, nor should the jagged edge of a broken piece of concrete. New games have amazing graphics no doubt but I often find the less believable because of these reflection problems.

I know what you mean Kempez, they have had time since the 360 came out, i hadn't thought about "that" factor.

Ye precisely. I'm not saying that the 2nd gen won't be good, just that they should be on it by now
