Proposed loop, thoughts please.

Will be building this week all being well, assuming the parts come in time. Does it look ok? It's a HAF-X, 2 3GB 580's, and a 2500K. Main reason for going over to water is coolers on the 3GB Phantom cards are utterly pants.

One thing I think I might need is an elbow fitting that goes from the 360mm to the 140mm rad because of the awkward angle. I drew it in with a white arrow on pic.

Is there anything that sticks out as 'that won't ever work in a month of Sundays' ?

Thanks in advance lads.

good start, but a lil weak in thermal control for a CPU and GPU-SLI loop. that
140 satelite rad is a waste of time and tubing. using a rx360 push or pull in the
roof (looses the top 5.25 bay), rx 240 on the floor (looses the lower HDD cage)
but your HX1050 will be too long (could use the LianLi PSU spacer for space).
that will take care of the requirements for cooling, headroom and great audible quaility.
bayres/pump->360 Rad->CPU->Top GPU->Bottom GPU->bayres/pump

this has been done a lot of times, so there is a lot of information about it.

So I don't need the 140mm rad?

There seems to be a number of people that say 1x 120mm rad part per heat source. Not sure I would use that on a regular basis as an H100 does better then say a 920 or H60/80 etc etc.

I've now gone to the thought of 2 x 120mm for a CPU and 1x 120mm per GPU. It will also depend on how thick the radiator is, how strong the pump is, etc.

You cant get waterblocks for the phantom cards, they have a custom PCB.

140 rad will look wrong and pointless, but a 360 wouldnt be enough on its own.

IMHO youd need a 240 aswell and to do that right youd need to mod the case.

The long and short of it though is you cant get waterblocks for your GPU's.

Thanks for the replies.

@ TTL : I've sourced waterblocks for the cards. It's the EK-FC5X0, using their cooling configurator. They're stated as suitable for non- reference 580's. I can't take the bottom drive cage out because there's 3HDD's in there that I use on a regular basis. I've looked at a lot of Haf-X w/c rigs online and barely any of them have a 140mm rad, but it's a compromise I'm stuck with instead of the 240.

@ Ironhand: Parts used are in the OcUK 360 kit.

That loop will work but the rad surface is bare minimum,a 240 instead of the 140 would be a better purchase.
Do you actually have the GPU blocks in hand? Trying to source older blocks can be a nightmare.

I fell very lucky with the blocks. Special Tech didn't have any, but I found a small retailer local to me that had two left, and did me a price that was cheaper than from EK directly.
