Prometeia Problems

The first computer boot up in the morning the prometeia shoots up to 40 celcius the shuts off in the middle of the boot sequence. I restart the PC again in a few minutes the it works fine. The Mach 1 doesn't come with a delay. Is there a fix for this. I do acheive temps at -43 C so I think the unit is ok.?

Help

Thank you

The only way to power the prommy without using the PC power supply is to buy a second cheapo PSU. My mate Aterion on here is using my old Q-Tek from my first system to run my old Mach1 with his P4 setup. Mach1's don't temd to like some P4 setups cos they dont hold reset.

This would solve your problem I think but you will need to put a jumper between 2 pins on the PSU to make sure it turns on without the PC power switch. Once it hits a nice temp turn the PC on as normal.

Hope this helps a little and welcome to EP-UK by the way :).

Cheers

edit: Dont spose u've got a pic of ure system with the mach1 under the clear case do u? was thinking about doing it myself but dunno wat it looks like. Cheers.

Prometeia

Thank you for all of your help. I did have a very small AT power supply from and external CDRom case that had one 12V molex connector. I used the on/off switch that came with the unit and just extended the wires to length and mounted it inside the prometeia case. With the AT Power supply I didn't need the 3V ATX power on wire. I just have to remember to turn The prommy on and off. I also have to rely on the Motherboard monitor software and Bios tempature safety in case of Prommy failure.

Eventually I would like the PC start automatically after the prommy has been on for 30 seconds maybe with a time THat mAy bE PuShin It (LOL)

Thank you Again

I will take pics and post
