Prometeia Mach 1 Help

I'm not too keyed up on the mach1, What do you mean by 'the reset doesn't hold'?

If it is the system booting before the prommy gets down to temp, surely you would rather fix the issue than have to buy an additional module?

Hi, on the newer chipsets intel 875 and on the a64 the mach 1 starts up immediately and so does the cpu. Chip con made an atx power conditioner to remedy this issue but these units can no longer be found since company is now history. So i need some sort of delay timer kit or fix in order to delay the cpu start by 3 minutes or so.

That relay board looks like it may just work from what you say. The description is a little confusing though!

Is it not possible to use a MkII control board with the MkI? Would this sort out the issue? It must be quite a common issue among MkI users?

From what I've read - the Mach II controller isn't compatible as the sensors are different, you would have to strip the head and re-attach the new temp probes - no small task! Someone has suggested a 12v transformer as an alternative to the 2nd PSU - but I can't see any reason why a timed circuit wouldn't work.

Of course it'll work.

If you use the 2nd psu method, you're just doing manually what the timer does automatically.

Just use a 2nd psu first, and use a stopwatch or similar to find the time it takes for the Mach1 to cool down, add 20-30 seconds to that, and set the timer for that time. Make sure the time you measure is from FULLY warm with regard to the Mach1 though, if you measure from partially cold, you won't get a true reading and when you DO power up from warm, as in after a day of sitting unused, you could be booting too hot and damage your cpu.

The first time you use it with the timer, watch it carefully to make sure it's cooled down enough to boot, and you're set.
