Prolimatech Genesis

So just very recently Prolimatech came out with a very unique looking twin tower cooler called Genesis.

So far I've only found one review at Fudzilla, which indicates that it's cooler than Prolimatechs other coolers, but no reference to the NH-D14 or Silver Arrow. The review was a little confusing though.

Also, it supports up to three 120/140 mm fans and costs 60€ (w/o fans). Don't know about UK pricing. It's also said that it can take as tall RAM as the Corsair Dominators.

Would be very nice if OC3D would review this heatsink at some point.

From some other Reviews this seems to be at its best with lower rpm fans, it even beats the D14 and the HR-02 in that Discipline... i hope i'll get one soon.

its not a new design its a rip off of the coolermaster v10 but without the tec.

imo the fins should be wider on this as it has room.

A review would be good, I just recently got a CoolIT ECO but if this proved to be as good as a D14 i'd sell my ECO and buy one because my P8P67 is the same color as the one in that pic

looks like it will cool RAM and the motherboard's cpu area well, coz of the orientation of the down facing fan.

cant see it beating the D14 or silver arrow on CPU temps tho

Meh

the NH-D14 is still the better buy, the Genesis doesn't come with fans which makes it more expensive and considering (judging from that review) that temps are only ~2c Better.

It's not really worth it seen as you are looking at £80+ with shipping and two decent fans where as the D14 is ~£65 with shipping or if you buy from Ebuyer you could even choose the free within 5 working days delivery option and just pay the £60 for the cooler.

in germany (caseking.de) the Genesis costs 70€ with two 140 Blue Vortex fans, the d14 and the archon are about 65€ and the silver Arrow is 60€, at the end of the day all those are more or less the same performance wise

True, if the Genesis was the same price as the D14 with fans I would get the Genesis because it does look better, but as it stands now, considering the price and minimal performance difference i'd still go with the D14.

oh come on guys... the D14 is not a bad looking cooler, the ONLY thing that most people don't like is the COLOR of the fans, but imho this cooler is kinda ugly, if you think about it, if your case has a nice window, like the haf x for example, it would cover everything u see at the top... i don't wanna only see two fans in my case, i'd like to see the ram i got too

but everyone is intitled to their own opinion, especially on the looks

as for performance i think if TTL reviewed it he would find that it is the same as the silver arrow, 1-2*C cooler at stock but with a big OC and the fans all on 12V it'll fail and only the D14 will remain standing

currently at 4.4ghz and temps ~45c. I did consider the genesis but without fans it's more expensive than the D14.
