Project Up

Looks like you might need to learn to lace too ;). I love what this has come out to! I'm sorry if I've missed something as I've been away but why did your 980 need to be RMA'd?

Lace? Enlighten me bud :)

Yeah, RMA'd the 980 GTX.... was getting some strange whistling/squealing noises coming from the card.

My Dell U2713HM is also in the process of being replaced (backlight issue in bottom left corner) and the H105 fitted in the most recent pics is the third one I have had (first one had pump whine, second one had scratched radiator and now I hope this one works....)

I'm done with RMAs... just want to get back into my games!

Will post some more pics up over the weekend. If my 980 GTX arrives this side of the weekend I'll get some decent shots of that too..... :)

Cable lacing! :D. Theres a guide here on OC3D, tbh your build is already so clean that I'm not sure you actually would need to do it but every little helps so, here you go :) http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=54860

And that's really unlucky mate, I've just got my rig back up after having my room done up for the past week and only being able to get to my PC for really short periods so I think I know some of the 'Gaming Withdrawal' that you're feeling ;).

It's looking like I'm nearly ready to start the build log back again for my rig so I can show off some of my mods. Hopefully I don't have any issues though, good luck with all of the RMA's ^_^.

Not sure if you have seen the most recent pics bud. Cables were sorted for me by the gang at Pexon PCs - for me it doesn't get any better than that. After braiding a Seasonic PSU a few yrs back I decided back then not to go anywhere near it again. Not that I had problems with the last one I did.... I just don't have the time to spend uncoupling cables from plugs etc etc.... and even with my very best efforts there is no way I'd get anywhere near the good work carried out by James @ Pexon PCs!!!

Appreciate the good wishes re the RMA situations I'm wresting with at the moment. Fingers crossed that as of the end of the day on Friday I have my new screen, GFX card etc.... so at least I can enjoy using the thing again! :)

Looks good man! Glad you like the cables, hopefully you can get up and running soon with a new GPU!

Also, no need to lace cables IMHO, its way to much faff, I like the look of cables flowing naturally, but cable combs do a far better job than lacing does in a fraction of the time and at a tiny cost.

Rig update!

Thanks James.

My replacement GTX 980 arrived today as did Steverobo's AF140. With the GFX fitted in the main chamber and the AF140 QUIET fitted behind my HDDs as an exhaust in the other chamber things are looking good. No trace of white..... :)

Feedback gratefully received!

And from a slightly different angle:

Looking really good man, that 980 looks awesome in your rig and ties it all together. Personally it's a little too much red for my minimalist tastes but gawd, if I liked red this would be too much to handle ;).
