Project Newbie H10

So small and probably final update:

So I finally got some time off to do a custom sleeve job, as my corsair kit somehow got lost in transit along with some other rather expensive goodies.

The ram was also switched to a G.Skill 2800 4x8GB kit (easily handles 3000+), the 2x 32GB corsair dominator kits were among the lost goodies and aussie retailers dont seem to carry very much of it right now, so G.skill kit it is for now.

No close ups of the braiding, this way its harder to see the Newbie mistakes

Sorry about the horrible lighting guys :(

Not sure if I should change the routing of the power cables for the gpus. The last thing I am considering modding is the graphics cards. Hoping to sand off the green.

Lighting looks fine, I like how you havent gone OTT with the lighting to be honest. Keeps a nice soft glow on half the case.

Would be nice to see your GPU power cables a little neater though.

If your talking about that little tangle near the HDDs, its actually the sata and power for my 3TB WD green drive and fan controller. Unfortunately due to the fan controllers cables and splitter, I was unable to tie it up properly and the wire came loose..

But if your talking about the pcie power cables, I am just waiting on some clamps to straighten them up.

Those SSDs need to be modded! :D

Yeah, I was thinking that too. But I unlike yours and some others, I dont have anything symbolizing my project nor do I have a neat looking profile picture. A plain white SSD just seems like too much white  so I have no idea what to do with them :(

Well, they'd blend in perfectly with the GPUs and SLI bridge if you pull the white stickers off the top and maybe give it a black trim around the edges like I did with the 7-9mm adaptor :)

hmm, but wouldnt that further impede the second GPUs intake? As it is literally almost covered due to the SSD already. Though the temps are alright with my fan profile.

Though definitely didnt think of this  didnt even notice how similar the color of the SSD was.

Hmm yeah good point, I assumed the GPU fan was located just to the right of the SSD for some reason. Can you not move the GPU up a slot? They're exhaust designs anyway, so it shouldn't affect the top one too much and temps will be better on the bottom one I think.

Yeah, I could move it up one slot. It definitely does keep it a bit cooler. Though the single finger SLI connector looks terrible :( So I ended up compromising a bit with temps and using the tri sli bridge. Wasnt a big sacrifice so I just left it.

Gonna think about it though. Or maybe just try the 9mm adapter and see if it effects it that much.

Really just waiting for the Next gen cards so I can finally go 3x

So I tried the adapter and whilist I could still get the card in, the card seemed a bit starved for air like we thought, so I guess its a no go. Oh well, back to thinking about some kind of sticker or something to stick on top, or perhaps peel the one thats already on it (no warranty if I do that though).

If those new sli bridges become available in AU, I might just grab one. That way I would have to worry about the bottom card.
