Project: New look

Right this may not be as exciting as some of the others we have here, but its my second attempt at water cooling, which is abit more ambitious than my first.

As some of you may know my resevoir broke the other day, so i thought what the heck i might aswell redo the whole loop.

So for me to do:

1. Cable tidying (which i may start tomorrow evening)

2. Order my loop

3. Install my loop

4. Do the little bit of drilling needed

5. Test my loop

6. Final touches.

Theres no mega drilling or case modding involved, i just fancied sharing my life story, however if any of you have any suggestion on what i could do to my case to improve its look, im open to ideas.

Here is the desired loop layout:

**The green tubing on the drawing was just so it would stand out :)

Im hoping to get the res inside the case to keep everything neat, i then plan to attach a fillport to the top of the case allowing easier res filling. I am keeping the same rad i have now.

Here is my component list:

So theres my list. I am really looking forwards to reconstructing my loop.

i am guessing it was drawn in paint?dont go for a job as an artist, lol.

BUT, looks good mate, all the best with it (am interested in the fill port as i may do it myself)

haha, paint yeh.. I got an A* in GCSE art and an A in AS level art :P haha..

Anyways yeh, its a standard lay-out but as i said, its not supposed to be anything spectactular. I just fancied making a build log.

Last 2 pics didnt re-size properly mate.

Tis a bug with the uploader here. Resize then upload is the easy way.

Damn that upload resizerfacator.

You might want to resize the images to prevent blow out.

Looking good, now get it set up. hehe

Edit: damn you too Ham. With your speedy typing.

Another edit: Ah you noticed anyway. Wow, that block is quite shiny. Did you lap it yet or did it come shiny?

It came nice and shiny.

Ill get it all set-up either.. this evening, which i doubt due to school work, or tomorrow evening .. most likely get it all installed and working at the weekend though i meant work into the early hours this evening to get it up and running.

Install everything tonight me thinks!!!

Give me something nice to look at.

Seens as my cpu aint come through so i have nothing AT ALL to do tonight.

Ok i managed to install the 360mm rad that i got in aqua pc's box 4. Took me most of last night to find a way to get it on, then i found an easier solution.. 1 2 or 5 Pence pieces, due mainly to my lack of washers or nuts.

The fan grill at the rear of my case sticks out around 1/2 a cm, posing a problem for my desired method, bring in the 2 pence's the width of them gave the fan enough space to spin without catching the case, I was originally planning to just use a 240mm rad but now its 360mm the cooling isnt installed inside yet as i have coursework to be getting on with. Though if i get it done quick enough, ill get started tonight.

Case needs a clean by the look of those pictures.

The 2p's look pretty messy in the pics, but its at the rear of the case and in all honesty it dosent look that bad. Ghetto.

Got it all installed and running this evening. See pics :) I still have to buy the fill port as they were out of stock.

The project is going well at the moment, still abit of tidying up to do but getting there.. then the fill port.

Hope you enjoy looking at the pics.. Leave comments

Got it to 3Ghz gonna take it further later. Heres the temps, though it is speedfan so for quads you need to add 15c. I would use coretemp but it would require rebooting into F8 and i cba lol.

you know you can add 15 in the offset on speedfan

go to configure>advanced>intel core and just add 15 to the offset for each core

Good stuff, looks nice and tidy in the visible area (guessing case covers all the bays etc where the wiring's routed), *looks to right* unlike my own... :P
