Project MP-75

Hrmmm, I think you'd be ok if you were just going to limit your loop to cpu and single vid card. The BIP should be able to hold up decently against that.

Then I just might go for that VGA block :D

Anyway, on to..

Update 3!

Today the UPS man brought me my Pump, Clamps and Swiftech Additive.

Before we look @ the new stuff, last night I soaked my block in Ketchup, to remove oxidation. Well, when I lifted the block off the paper plate the whole bottom of the plate was green! Eww! I guess that trick really does work. Despite the fact that my block base now looks like a POS, it is smooth to the touch and obviously cleaner. I will be giving it one final cleaning later today with my favorite stuff to clean heatsinks with, Googone. Yeah I have Arctic Clean but, imo, googone works better.

Yeah, the block base is crappy lookin but at least I know it's clean. Theres the additive (Swiftech UV), the clamps, and the pump. It says 3/8" on the box but they crossed it out on the front and wrote 1/2".

One bottle of additive per gallon?? Seems right. Nice color, bad smell. :p

So anyway, theres the update for today. I'm HOPING the Radiator, Tubing, and Res come tomorrow but they're coming USPS Parcel Post, so I doubt it. Worst case scenerio they arrive Saturday. Stay tuned! :)

Update #4 :)

Me and my buddy Matt got to work on my case last night, did some serious modding. :)

modding%20001.jpg

Some little measuring and centering. :p

modding%20002.jpg

The holes, drilled, for the water tubing :)

modding%20004.jpg

Finished off :D

modding%20005.jpg

Another hole, for some wire management :D

modding%20006.jpg

And another, for some more wires :)

modding%20007.jpg

Fairly clean cut, holesaws FTW.

modding%20009.jpg

Ahh, early morning modding. My neighbors must love me :D.

Filter/Grille

modding%20011.jpg

The only two cables that are visible from the PSU.

modding%20012.jpg

Another filter/grille.

Wires :D

My computer is apart, so that'd be no. Posting from my Dad's lappy atm.

EDIT: Pic of the waterblock, mounted on the pwn.

Personally I'd flip the block over unless ur mounting the mobo BTX style. You'll get an air pocket otherwise at the top of the block.

Nicks, are you going to let that "ugly" chipset fan be there ?

from what i have read its both noisy and tends to fail early but i dont know i swapped it out before i event tried my motherboard.

used this one or half a year, works good and completly noiseless with a zalman resistor to lower the rpm to 3000-3200rpm.

they have versions now with led for example.

Wont that make pipe routing problematic tho?? Suppose it depends on the rad's location. Would be easier install if the 'out' barb was towards bottom as makes pipe run easier to the GFX block??

Hehe, I like my chipset fan. It has never failed me either :).

@ Mullet, no VGA block.. yet :p.

@ NoL, well, I flipped the block around, but before putting it back on I popped the IHS. Buwuahaha. Pix to come. (Taken with my phone cause I couldn't find my camera.)

could watercool it too, seen chipset cooler capable of working on a sli nf4 board.

dunno how good it was.

OK.. An Update

Tomorrow, my CCFL's & LazerLED's should be here from Jab-Tech. When I get them, I'm going to tidy up my wiring a bit, and take a crap load of photos so stay tuned!!!! :D

Lighting:

2x Logisys 12" Green CCFL's

1x 5-LED LazerLED UV (Black Casing) by Logisys

1x 4-LED LazerLED UV (Black Casing) by Logisys

I'm not sure where the CCFL's are going to go but the one LazerLED (5-LED) is going to go in my Floppy drive bay, shining out towards the middle of the case. The 4-LED LazerLED is going to go on the bottom of my DVD Burner, shining down onto my res, making my water glow :D. Check back tmoz for PICCIES!!!111!

Maybe if your pics look good enough, it will convince me to buy some lighting too.

Who makes those fan grills Nick? Are they raised around the fan area?

I've been looking for something exactly like those for my radiator grills.
