Update #1

Update #1 - Small & Worthless

Well, at this very moment I'm tracking my Pump, Clamps & Additive. I hate UPS ground.

Anyway, heres a small update.

I scrounged up enough mosfets to sink my PWM area of my MSI. Keep it nice'n cool.

Keeping the waterblock tight is the stock metal bracket with the MSI. The only mobo manuf. that I know of that uses solid steel brackets vs

ty plastic ones. FTW!

The monstar Panaflo, going in the front of my Lian Li. Airflow = good

.

This Vantec Stealth is going to go in my new windowed side panel. (Thanks Performance PC's!) It's silent and will provide enough airflow for my X1900.

And the Distilled Water, mobo, some cables, my hole saw (1") and some bolts.

Tomorrow, the block should arrive, so watch out for pix of that!

Update #2

Update #2 - My first parts have arrived!!

I woke up today to two large packages sitting at my front door. Mm, ran inside and got a knife and began opening.

Today, came the MP-05 from Cooltechnica, and my Black Lian Li Windowed Side Panel with a FilterRight Black Grille. So, on to the piccies !!

looking good...block slightly different to my MP05 LE SP. My copper base doesnt have a raised sqaure for contact with the cpu. Can u let me know how u fitted the block bud?

Should be up and *****in' by this weekend . I kinda wanna strip down the PC and start some modding heh.

Havn't installed the block yet but what do u mean exactly, by the question?

Just which screws/nuts/rubber washers fitted where.

Did you use the existing screws on the A64 mount or did you fit the ones included with the MP?

I have a metal backplate which is adhesed to my mobo, so I screwed in the bolts from the back so the threaded part is the only part above the mobo. No retention bracket. I tightened the screws from the back and tightened the nuts on the front. Now to mount all I need to do is slide the springs and block down, then screw down with the included thumb nuts.

If you have a plastic retention bracket, you can take it off. Just make sure theres never metal touching the mobo and you'll be fine.

And yes, I used teh ones that came with the MP.

Note the flat copper base...no raised square bit.

Re the mounting...can you simply use the existing A64 mount bolts??

Heck yes!! I might pick up a second BIP soon too, throw it in the front. It's either that or a Maze4, but I doubt my single BIP wld like me much if it had to cool an X1900GT @ 700/800+ and a 3000+ Venice at 2.7+.

Hrmmm, I think you'd be ok if you were just going to limit your loop to cpu and single vid card. The BIP should be able to hold up decently against that.
