Project MonoBits

a great mod i saw mr bean from an aussie site was to window the PSU back tray to let the PSU
have room for wire management. he also trimmed a CPU backplate access hole. he was using the
swiftech apogee CPU pump/block and needed 1-2mm for backplate clearence.

airdeano

Seems interesting :)
Could you plese show a project log of those mods ?, I dont know if i need taht thow, all the wires will be custommade and with perfect lenghts ,eaven if i do a backplate hole i cant access it, but as i said it wont be needed because im not going to change the waterblock :P The bitspower summit will be awsome!

Halloj!
I received a rather unexpected package yesterday, and it was from Silverstone sponsoring me with a Straider 850w Plus (ST85F-P)
I thank awful lot for your help and the very quick delivery :)!

What can I say about this PSU?
The power supply is very quiet, it has good efficiency and looks overall very good.
The only drawback is their multi-colored cables ...
There will be no problem for me in this case, because I will make my own from scratch instead, so I can get the right length and no hassles inside the case :)

It was the update for this time guys!

I'm a bit curious why you didn't go for the Corsair AX series then; they don't even turn on their fan before the ~80% load mark or something along those lines.

Are you saying you'll be crimping your own cables, or just that you'll be sleeving them? o.o

"Dude," there is such a thing as reading the post, but missing or forgetting details in the process.

Regardless, thanks for telling me.

Take it easy guys!

There is one big reason for why i choose this over the AX
The One-to-One cabeling, no damn Y-connnected cables and all the cables are free :)

I will make my cables from ground up, with all new wires, pins and connectors, after that i will sleeve them of course ;)

Ah, yeah... The Y cables. -.- /flip table

But fun fact there. You reuse the original PSU connectors then, or are they standard things too?

Hey everyone!
I now have an important package that helps me to see what happens with the water cooling inside the computer.
This package is from my good friend Andreas Walter who works over at Aquatuning :)
The content cinsists the latest full copper radiators from Alphacool who says to cool very well, regardless of their sizes, these radiators can also be found in brutal depths if you are the one who want the best of the best :)

I thank Andreas a lot for his support in my project and that he kindly sponsored me with theese following items:
Alphacool VPP655 - single edition
Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 120mm
Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 240mm
Swiftech ClearFlex60 16/12mm

A rather big pacage :)

Lots cardboard... it protects the stuff good anyway, which only is an advantage for me.

Tomorrow i will be testing if the rads fits inside the case... I'm keeping my fingers crossed right now!

Been following this on fb for a while, I can still whip you up a project logo if you want? (it's matthew in case you were wondering :p)

This is looking really good! I really love cases like the prodigy with a different than usual layout! I can't wait to see more.
