Ok Ive built a ton of rigs but never really got down to doing a build log and decided I would give it a try so here we go:
The planned components for this build are:
Corsair 750d
Alphacool nexxxos XT45 420 (top)
Alphacool nexxxos XT45 280 (front)
5 x Noctua NF P140s Redux 1200 rpm case fans
1 x Corsair AF140
Laing D5 pump with EK CSQ top actel
EK Res X3 250
EK supremacy black nickel CSQ
2 x EK black actel nickel CSQ TF5 gpu blocks
Primochill revolver red diamond fittings
Asus Maximus Hero Motherbaord
Intel I7 4790k
16gb Corsair Vengeance pro red 2400
2 x 240gb Samsung evo 840 in raid 0
2 x MSI GTX970 gaming 4g gpu's SLi
Creative sound blaster Z
EVGA Supernova G2 850
So the first challenge was fitting the 420 45mm rad in the top. Now with all my measurements set thank to TTL I went ahead and tested the fit and it appeared that the only thing preventing the rad from fitting was the sliders for the first 5.25" drive bay so the dremel came out and away they went. Now it fits perfectly with plenty of space above the motherboard.
I went for the inlet/outlet on the front of the case to prevent spacing issues with my exhaust fan.

I didnt like the mess left from the cutting so using the acrylic off one of my daughters old toy box's and some powder black vinyl wrap I created some plates to cover it all up.

I wrapped the noctua fans in powder black vinyl as well to hide the better but still odd colour scheme noctua chose.

Put my storage drive in the bottom 5.25" bay and it fit nicely and added some 90 degree fittings to make the tube run less hassle.

front rad fit without a hitch although I really dont like the copper caps on the rad, matt black would have been nicer. I really like the EK res as well and Im glad chose it over the alphacool one.

Time to make my psu shroud using my sons xbox 360 box and some powder black wrap. not too shabby.

Does the job perfectly

My gorgeous motherboard although Im a bit mythed by the upward facing usb 3 header :/

picked these up from a rc helicopter retailer to make my motherboard screws look a bit fancy.

some red hex screws and those bad boys look sweet
.

Grabbed myself some 6mm thick car sound proofing for the bottom and some led lighting strips although I dont have much choice of locations for the lights. Might have to grab a second set and get creative.

everything else in and system boots up perfectly. Now all I need to do is wait for EK to release the bloody back plate for the 970 gaming block and I can order them and get started on the tubing. Im still really disliking the usb 3 header on the motherboard I expected better from ASUS.
