I just started to build a new PC with the following specs:

CPU: Intel C2D E6700 2.67GHz ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115002 )

MB: Gigabyte GA-965GM-DS2 Rev2 microATX ( http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2414 )

RAM: Corsair Dominator TW2X2048-6400C3DF 2x1Gb ( http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/dominator.html )

Case: Abee AS Enclosure D1 black ( http://www.abee.co.jp/Product/AS_Enclosure/D1/index.html )

PSU: Abee AS Power Silentist S-550B ( http://www.abee.co.jp/Product/AS_Power_Silentist/S-450EB_S-550EB/index.html )

Video: XFX 8600 GTS, my current gfx card...

And for the cooling I will go WC with the following setup:

CPU: Swiftech APOGEE GTX Extreme Performance Universal Water-block ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=199&products_id=21389 )

GPU: Danger Den Low Profile Acetal MAZE5 GPU ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240&products_id=20916 )

Pump/Res: Alphacool AGB-Eheim 600 Station II 12V ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=318&products_id=4488 )

Rad: 1 or 2 Black Ice GT Stealth 120 XFlow Highest Peformance Radiator ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=200&products_id=4539 )

The WC is subject to change though...

Feel free to share your thoughts, ideas comments etc... So far I already got the MB, CPU and RAM getting the case and PSU tomorrow.

This will not be as small as my current shuttle but still remain in the small form factor PC, hopefully small box with lot of power ;)

Looks good mate considering you're gonna be cramped for room anyway. The case doesn't do anything for me personally, but it all comes down to individual taste. Are you going to run the rads in parallel or series?

Either way I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes...plenty of pics please.

Yep I will be sure to document my progress with lots of pics... Damn those Dominator sticks look great ;)

The case as nothing really special but I like the simple design and it is the smallest I found that can hold what I plan to stick inside, still even not completly sure the Pump/Res will fit!

here are just a couple pics of the stuff I got today...

Very very good lookin' parts mate! Keep us updated on the status of this build, gonna be a nice one for sure.

Thanks guys, one question to all of you WC specialists... do you think one 120 rad will be enough to keep both my CPU and GPU cool or should I go with two? Bah one more... what do you think about the immersed pump/res option, was wondering if it will not add heat to the water and if the pump would be better outside of the res? Or is just a simple T-line without reservoir the best option?

Also do you think it is worth lapping the C2D or I can do without?

TIA

Are you going to run the rads in parallel or series?

PV, my plan for the water loop is as follow:

Pump/Res -> Rad1 -> CPU -> GPU -> Rad2 -> back to the Pump/Res

Does it sound reasonable?

I don't see why you would have Rad, Pump/res, Rad. Surely between the CPU/GPU and after the GPU would be better, assuming your pump is up to the job...

Thanks I thought of placing one rad in between the CPU and GPU too, but wasn't sure about the tubing and placements of the rads in the case. I will have to see this when I get the case tomorrow!

Slight delay, the shop didn't have the case in black so I had to order it and it will be shipped tomorrow, hopefully I will get it in 2 days or so.

Meanwhile I also ordered the WC stuff:

1 x EK-Wave 775 Acetal CPU Water Block (EK-WAVE-775-ACETAL). Fitting Size 1/2" for 1/2" I.D. Tubing

1 x Danger Den Acetal MAZE5 GPU for most ATI and Nvidia Cards - Black (GPU-1500). Fitting Size 1/2" for 1/2" I.D. Tubing

1 x Swiftech MCP655™ 12 VDC Pump (MCP655) with a speed controller

1 x Danger Den Delrin Fillport (FILLPORT-DN). Fitting Size 1/2" for 1/2" I.D. Tubing

1 x Delrin/Acetal "T" Fitting (DELRIN-T) 1/2" Barb Fitting

1 x Fluid XP+ HP (High Performance) Coolant - Phantom Black (FLUIDXP+HP-PB)

2 x Black Ice® GT Stealth 120 Highest Peformance Radiator (GTS120). Fitting Size 1/2" OD. Radiator Color Onyx Black

8 x Tygon 3603 1/2" ID Clear Tubing (TYGON-3603-1/2)

I decided to go without Reservoir and us a Fillport and T-line. Also took a more powerful pump.

I should end up with this kind of water loop:

Got the case and psu last night and started to build the PC, so here are some mre pis.

The only problem so far is that I cannot install the Ram cooling fan system because of the drive cage. Pump will hopefully go in front of the PSU, one rad on the rear 120 fan and the second one on the front 120 fan. And additional 92 fan will be mount on the side panel.

Excuse my ignorance, but if you put the pump infront of the psu, and remove the drive cage, where are the hard disks going?

For now I will keep the drive cage and do without the RAM cooling fans...

There are actually 2 slots for HD in between the PSU and the side panel, I removed the holders so it is not showing on the picture. So one HD can slide between the PSU and the side panel and the other between the pump and the side panel. However I am thinking of keeping my 2HDs in my shuttle and buy a new 500GB to put in this one.

Do you think I absolutly need the RAM cooling fans if I don't OC?
