Hey, okay so I'm going to be doing my actual first project of modding a case. I have chosen this case, but I will obviously be modding it, I have my ideas in my head and was wondering whether this case is good for modding.

Basically, I am going to buy the case, take off the side windows, cover with black perspex, spray the inside completely black. Get black leads, black cards etc... I am then going to get some UV green lights, have Green water cooling, and a few GREEN fans (all UV). I am then going to cut 2 holes in the top for something (not worked out yet but I have a few things in mind)

Anyone have any experience in this case or w/e?

Please any suggestions or help. I'm looking for a green and black project :), also might change colour as I go along.

Thanks!

Sorry to bump lol, was just wanting to update that I have purchased a cheaper standard case for £23. I just loved the look of it because I wanted to mod it so much lol.

Not much too look at @ standard? I have spray painted the outside side panels etc.. Black MATT, and the inside chasis gloss black. Also the front red. Taking 6 weeks to settle, then going to laquer it, will look nice for what I want.

Seems your post slipped through the net.

That's actually quite a nice case for £23.

What are you going to do to mod it?

Will it just be cosmetic mods like painting, or are you going to change it structurally?

Six weeks to settle. Seems quite a while to me. I wouldn't have the patience.

If you are still losing the window in favour of black perspex, you can simulate the same by spraying the inside of the window black - was a top tip by someone else, possibly NOL, not too sure.

Oh right I thought of that but I was thinking it's just going to leave dots of paint? Unless I leave a really thin layer on one side. Well I might aswell give it a go hey :) if this don't work perspex :).

It's more cosmetic, but as time goes by, it seems I will become more advanced :).

It's just the colour, also drilling some holes @ side panel, inserting a hole @ top of case for 2x 90mm fans etc.. :).

Thanks for the tip anyways :):)

That's kind of the standard of modding i'd be comfortable doing.

You just spray the inside. A few very thin coats. Outside stays clear and smooth.

As for the rest of the painting, NOT the perspex.

A light sand between layers shows means the paint grips better, it also shows where the surface isn't even.

:) have done that mate :), I have applied 3 layers sanding down gently inbetween. Has turned out pretty nice :D. I should of applied an undercoat though tbh, went through alot hardwork trying to get it not to run at all lol.

And okay yeah will do that with the window, any time in paticular that I should let it settle?.

Thanks :)
