Project Cars 3 will be "a spiritual successor to Shift" with "sim goodness"

Nice, PCARS is pretty damn nice in VR too, Different genre but I'd still love a Need For Speed Underground 2 remake ^_^

Dont think it would "fly" these days. We expect so much now. It's still my favourite too, but when I look back at it... Don't think i would enjoy the same as much as I used to.

I went back to it a few months ago, certainly doesn't "feel" as nice in the handling aspects but the open world design & many other aspects still keep up quite well, but I assume such a move would be a licensing nightmare, as racing games usually are, and it's been heavily requested for years.

It was horribly unrealistic in almost every aspect except modding. The Nissan 240 on the drag racing was untouchable in a specific tuning and in no way should have been 5-10 sec ahead of the best non 240sx car.

Yeah it's quite a goofy game generally really though, I mean it's a mostly arcade racer with nitrous boost and all that, and the handling hasn't aged too well, but it was still cool in many ways.

I just hope they don't make it arcade like NFS. Being a proper racing simulator is what made it good.
