Project BadA$$...**56k**

The primer is drying now and tomorrow I will sand it down and apply the paint. I will re-assemble it probably Sat and show it complete.

Thanks for all ur kind words:)

Ive come up with a bunch of new stuff for my case, this ought to be pretty fun.

hey, its Harsaphes, from Hardocp...just saw the message you left me.....cant wait to see the finished product...and cant wait to get one!

I have spent most of the day waiting Paint seems to take longer to dry when you are watching it)

This time I tried something different. I am using Self-Etching primer. Its supposed to stick much better. Here is a shot of the power switch,LED,USB bracket. There are a couple coats of primer, 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear.

I will paint the top and bottom shell before I go to bed tonight (so they can dry proper)

Looks quality, although a bit bowed at the bottom - does it have an Alu support?

its because the mount for the On/Off switch is not fully attached, all the pieces are loose (dont want to scratch the paint)

LOL, tomorrow afternoon I will glue on the rubber molding and mod the wiring than post the final picts.

I need to get started on mine now. I was gonna make 2 of the same but than I thought why not make them all originals? So mine is gonna be different.

I am thinking about black anodized alum front, bottom and back. Than a Red plastic top and sides.

OR

Red mesh bottom half and smoke plastic top and 1/2 way down the sides.

Bout Time...

Ok got it mostly done, just a little wiring/polishing left.

Here it is with the mobo tray opened to expose the wiring, PS, CDRW and HDDs. That is one of my old CDRWs, he is using a Sata version. I like the PS this way. I cut a 4" dia hole in the mobo tray so the 140mm fan will draw the warm air from the HDD compartment as well as the warm air from the back side of the mobo.

I'm speechless Mark, that is truly a beautiful case! Great Job:worship: :worship: :worship:

LOL, Im glad because you are the one that has to look at it...

I wish I had a better camera, its much, much nicer in person. The metallic paint is hard to show in picts. This was a lot harder than the others because it needed to be serviceable. The top needs to come off easily and the parts needed to be removable.

On my CrossFlow it didnt matter that it took 1 hour to remove the mobo because it was mine and I had the time.

On this comp you can replace the mobo in under a minute.

the Hdd is mounted on Rubber Grommets and so is the DVD. There is room for another Hdd next to the one there.

I didnt paint the rivets black because along with the fan grills and handle the silver contrasts with the metallic black.

Also I think the Chrome Blue fan goes well with the blue front and rear panels.

shazam! gj, nice cable managment, btw can u really carry it by that handle, as in will it hold the weight?

The wiring is a mess, I still have to clean it up. But basically I am making all the Modular cables custom for this comp. (no extra wiring mess)

Someone asked that before and I got scared, so I screwed it to 60lbs of weights and it held overnight.

So I think we are ok.

With all those holes the case is pretty lite:D
