Jeeze! ;)

That guy is gunna be uber happy! :D

I hope so, lol. He just had his new mobo and PS shipped to me. Talk about trust he hasent even met me and he sent his stuff to me.

Im pretty sure Tox he is gonna go nutts with his new case. He wanted me to make it big enough for a pair of 8800GTXs. Im thinking since he is using AM2 he is probably better off with 8800GTSs. But I am making his comp so the mobo can be changed later if he wants.

I have the size now too, Its gonna be 11" wide X 9 1/2" tall X 13" deep.

I might make mine 8" tall.

Ok I bought the hardware, ordered the metal. Now its just wait.

I will be using the Biostar Mobo, C2D 6300, HISX1950Pro, Corsair XMS2 mem, Silverstone NT01 and my last purchase...... I ordered a Lian Li 500 PowerSupply ( I hope the reviews are ok, lol)

I really liked that ALL the cables are modular (even the 24 pin)

I sat down and looked at my Antec 550 and CoolerMaster550 and really didnt like them (cheap looking heatsinks) than I thought about the Corsair 520 but a few reviews talked about clicking and they were $130 so prob tues the Lian Li should show up...

Its all looking rather nice mate, cant wait to see the m both finished. I am not very creative so cant picture teh completed items but I am sure the photos you post will far exceed anything i imagined.

Good luck on the remainder of teh build and hope your first customer is happy, who knows might even start bringing you more customers if thats what you want.

Thanks chudley, thats one of the things I am good at. I can see the comp finished in my head, that way I really dont need a plan on paper.

I am really getting excited about building these comps. I am just waiting for the metal bits to be shipped. Hopefully they will be here by tuesday.

You should make a small case-making business :p I'm sure there could be a reasonable demand at other forums and such :)

LOL, the only problem with that is I would have to get off my big butt and start working for a living..

Actually the main reason is it costs a lot more to make them than you can sell them for. Its kind of a labor of love for me and I would hate to have to put a bunch of effort into building one for someone I didnt care for.

Hardware Update..

Ok they messed up my metal order (so it wont be here till thurs) and i noticed my new parts kept locking up while gaming. After doing research (and installing Ati Tool) it turns out the HIS X1950Pro locks up when it hits 60C. Since the IceQ3 fan only runs at 40% after about 3 min of gaming, black screen and lock.

So I set the fan to 100% (more noise) but it was better, much better. But after 30 min of gaming it locks. Since I ordered the X1950 from Newegg "open box" I only had 15 days to RMA. So its RMAd...

Next order of business, I couldnt get the Biostar Tforce 965 to set up a raid...It turns out several of the New Intel chipsets cant run Raid, Oops:( RMA mobo too..

So I picked a new card and mobo. I hope these are ok...

For a Video Card I figured the 8800 was a waste (I game at 1280 X 1024) so i got a XFX7900GS (looks cool and was $140 "open box")

And a Zalman Z9V cooler, I am thinking since I am using a preforated cover on the case the Zalman should cool the card pretty nice.(Red light goes with case)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118011

They were a little less than the X1950.

Now to the mobo, I really like Raid0 so I picked the Abit AB9 Pro

The IDE cable place is nutts:rolleyes: but there is 10 Satas, lol

that sux about what happened, but nice new hardware choices, u no where to go for ur XFX problems (hopes u dont have any)

LOL (where I go is Newegg to their RMA dept):D

before when I had probs with the 7600GS cards the other place took forever to respond

And glad ur here darkorb.

The Expert mobo needs a really good PS. It wont work without one. The Video Cards need a fan on them at all times. I am thinking its probably best to send that stuff back before you mess it up.

Please DO NOT try to run that good stuff with a terrible PS you will FRY IT.
